USER TESTING

Following the completion of the prototype, I conducted further user testing to ensure that the interaction between humans and the technology is seamless and clear. I formulated two different methods, one was an online testing with a pool of 70 participants, and the second was in a physical setting with 10 participants (user testing occurred one at a time).

RESEARCH METHOD

The app was tested on a total of 80 participants, both virtually and in person. All participants are university students ages 17-25. Each participant would be given a link to the high-definition prototype and have a maximum of 5 minutes to explore the application. After the 5 minutes mark, each of them would need to answer 5 basic open-ended questions in relation to the usability, interactivity, and aesthetic of the app.

RESEARCH RESULT

Clarity

Ussability

Userflow

Aesthetics

Practicality

Font size needs to be larger, especially in for the “Recipe Finder” feature.

There needs to be more preference settings to be more user-friendly.

The table below shows the areas the app was tested in and a determinant if its design or layout needs to be revised.  A checkmark indicates that the app has successfully pass for a determinant factor.
